The shaded house doesn't read well. It's alright when zoomed in but normally the bricks look kinda diagonally placed.

yeah some people already said that :P

i have to put more detail into some of the the bricks to make them look not so diagonal :D

You should not save your pixelart as jpeg  :-X

no, you don't need more detail, you need less noise.  simplify simplify.  and get rid of the annoying dithering - just substitute shades.

The reason they look diagonal is contrast.

You shaded the highlights to look diagonal, and that is what sticks out the most from afar. It isnt until you actually zoom in that you notice the divisions between each brick and you know they're SUPPOSED to be bricks.

it seems you suffer from a grave case of detailitis, not everything is fixed by detailing. when dealing with a bunch of bricks it probably isnt a good idea to chuck as much detail into them as you can, try to make one simple brick and figure out some variations for it instead. Then you can use the simple brick for most of the wall, and *sprinkle* the variations on various parts of the wall to make it all seem more detailed.

Did you, by any chance, rip those sprites from Endless Online (http://www.endless-online.com)?

I had done a comparison earlier and noted that they are not a complete rip, but that he had only emulated the "style".

Donk also has a progressive image(s) illustrating how it actually progressed somewhere. That leads me to believe he didn't rip them. :)

Not the best thing to use as a reference, but to each his own.

if they weren't entitrely ripped, he drew it with endless right beside him.  too many pixels line up exact or a pixel off and a lot of the lines are in the same positions, as well as the overall pose being the same.

True that. Donk, I highly recommend you cite all your sources now and apologize for trying to pass these off as your original work. Read the rules.

From his other topic:

I am proud to announce a 2D Isometric MMORPG ive been working on in my spare time (cant do much since im in Testing month). You can say its inspired by the 2D Isometric mmorpg http://endless-online.com. But before you read any firther i want you to know that it does not use any of Endless Online's graphics, at all. We have talented artists that do their best and do not like being acussed of theft no matter how similar their graphics look to others. Now that i got that out the way, ill post some information.

You might not like to hear it, but I also say your 'talented artists' are ripping a bad source with a pallete change and a few alterations.
