Any ideas on how to make it less crowded (besides 'less spikes'? The way the dex is I need spikes covering most of the body...)
Anatomy/color help is also appreciated.   :)

It seems like everything is on the same plane, shade to create depth.
Be wary of all that black outlining on the interior of the sprite.
