this is my first post to this website so im very sorry if its wrong or confusing or weird. i read all the rulles but im still very confused so sorry in advanced.
so the pieces that i blocked out with red here don't matter for this question but i would like help understanding how to make my metal look better. (the piece next to the pail is supposed to be a pearl necklace) i try to imagine which way the light is coming from and how it will shine but it still seems very difficult. especially with the pail i feel like i had the right idea but it looks lopsided to me? should i have used different colors? also is an understanding of highlights and shadows something that with come to me to more i practice?
