I love how 'big' he is. Real interesting. And I like the unusual palette.

I think scythes are ok just you have drawn them wrong, they look like they would be used for digging. Drawn them so the blade is thin, not a bent triangle. If you need reference just google death.

Well you could've chosen a better light angle so IE the shades would be more at the bottom than the top
But what I basdically ment is that theres not really a global depth, is it a circle on a 2D plane or an orb? thats the hard part to distinguish.
The darkness between two muscle is a bit too much, you should use that darkness only at the sides to create a sense of roundness
