Hey there. I made this piece awhile back and I tried to have it go up on r/PixelArt. That didn't go so hot. What I'm asking for today is: "Is this pixel art?" I constructed it and manipulated it on the pixel level using clean tools. (Aseprite is my program of choice). I guess it didn't really meet the aesthetic, but I want to know what people think of it constructively instead of in the environment Reddit entails.
If you want to give critique on the image itself, go right ahead. I struggled with figuring out the background in terms of color. I definitely should smooth out some of my lines and I want to know if the people in the background are okay or if I should try simplifying it to just the subject and background instead.
