so here is a crappy attempt at animating... its awful I know... but interesting also...?

I wouldn't say it was awful. In fact, I like it. It needs a bit of adjusting, but this could looks quite nice with a little touching up. I would add a little movement in the cockpit thingy, simply to give it a bit more realism. I would also speed up the frames, or add some frames in between the ones you have now, because as of now, the animation is choppy.

It looks like if it was a real vehicle that when it would lift one of its legs it would fall over because it is off balance.  You should look up some mech warrior stuff from the games and see how their legs work.  It might help have a good reference

I'll fix the off balance thingy on my next animation attempt... but first onto the coloring.


the joints in the legs apear to seam off suggestions?
I'm thinking of trying to add selout to it also...

anyone know how to speed up an animated gif in image ready?  I would also like to loop back to a certain frame, I have a stand still pose I would like to start with.

Rather than Replying to the last post and bumping up the post, I'll just add here:
I appreciate the advice and will try to apply some of the techniques suggested here at pixelation... Thanks for the links and advice, I'll post an update as soon as I'm finished.
