It's still a WIP so C+C is greatly appreciated.

The stuff I changed:
I gave his feet a more casual stance
I cut the color count to 8 colors
I put his right(our left)arm more into perspective
I thinned out his shorts
and I add some extra shadows

Hey kcilc, thanks for replying and thanks for the edit.
but im sorry to say, i dont agree with you on the most part of the edit.
I do agree with you on the arm placement, though and the idea of AAing the hat.
The reason the shorts arent thin, is because they aren't thin shorts.
I made an edit based on your suggestions but didnt take them all into account.

-reduced the colour count to 11+ trans
-changed the (our left)arm and shoulder
-added AA to the hat
-Edited the shorts a bit, upped contrast and added a crease and a line up the middle
I don't want to sound like someone who just makes excuses for not changing things, but i just dont agree with some of the changes made.
Thanks heaps, more c+c is welcome.

I cant see Kcilc's images so can't comment about that.
Very nice character and soft shading. Only thing I didnt like (as I mentioned in chat) was the leg positioning, so I know ou wanted to get away from the blocky look of the middle image in my higher contrast edit. So I quickly did a second sample (on the right, original on the left) to give an idea for putting something else in the picture to give him a different stance. At the moment he has a bit of a John Wayne stance (either that or he's constipated). The second edit also has lower saturation/contrast than the centre one which I felt was perhaps a bit too high.

Good edit Zoggles, and very nice work for a starting piece Ireland.
It looks good to me, except for the stance he is in. His arms are very square, and he looks a bit square overall.
