Title: [Portfolio] Uridicy's Pixel Art Portfolio
Post by: uridicy on August 04, 2007, 02:59:50 am
Hey, I posted this portfolio quite a while back.  I'm working full time at a video game company so I'm not available for contract work right now. Thanks.

Portfolio: http://myweb.csuchico.edu/~lkester/pixelart.html (http://myweb.csuchico.edu/~lkester/pixelart.html)

Don't use JPG format when displaying your pixel pieces! Use GIF or PNG.

I was under the impression that a jpg at 100% quality didn't degrade the image. I checked one of the images and I didn't see any distortion up close.  Anyway, I updated my post.  I really thought it would expire after a while. Anyway, if anyone cares to delete this post they can. I don't want to detract from the other portfolios.

My only concern is that there's a bit of Seiken Densetsu editing I think, while promoted as original creations.  If this is a business portfolio, please clarify this issue, as there are (highly unlikely but potential) legal consequences for not doing so.

Please forgive me if i am completely off-base, it's mostly these guys (http://myweb.csuchico.edu/~lkester/pixels/27.gif) which seem soooo familiar.  It may well just be in a similar style though.

No, those are original. A while back I felt like making characters that were in the same style as other characters.  You won't find those in commercial games. I've also made characters emulating the style of Jenna Fowler (which I didn't put on my portfolio) and some other artists. In the RPGmaker community(that I used to be really into) people make games with the kind of characters I make and I didn't want the styles to clash.

Please don't be. You were asked to clarify, you weren't outright accused.
