Title: Ash(ley) from Evil Dead?
Post by: Ben2theEdge on July 04, 2007, 11:56:50 pm
This is a piece I've been working on for the weekly competition over at pixeljoint.com - Still a WIP obviously.
Let the shredding commence.

the leg on our left looks a bit blocky because of the shadowing and some anti-aliasing inside the limbs couldn't hurt. The blade on the chainsaw looks a bit sloppy and could be better defined. Otherwise, I'd say it's good going. Nice work.

Great design, layout, lightsources.
Don't worry about the legs, there is nothing manly about them.

If you'd like to improve on this image, work on the background.

I agree, I think the legs look fine. In fact the whole character looks pretty excellent to me, but the background feels empty.

By the way I just wanted to say that I love your work and I really look forward to playing a game by you! (whenever you get one finished that is)  ;)

I think her left leg could use some definition, actually. At the moment, it's a bit bottle-shaped. Manly or not, the leg shouldn't be that straight. Other than that, I'd like to see how this progresses, because it's looking pretty awesome so far.

Hm... Maybe she could use a bigger chin?
