So I started learning for a few weeks about 4 years ago, came back and this is what I made upon returning, it's a fan art piece of Talim from SoulCalibur

I'm aware I haven't restricted the palette that much, I quite often work to 16 but for this I took palette inspiration from the style of a artist named Balthazar (https://www.deviantart.com/balthazar321), but that's besides the point.
My biggest issues I feel are largely based around the face, which I could really use some help with, I'm having a lot of trouble defining readable facial features in such a small space but if I don't bother it kinda looks like a mannequin. That's the specific thing I'd want help with, but any constructive criticism and advice towards a newbie is appreciated. I also feel the shading's off somehow around the front leg but I can't really tell what specifically is up.

Here's my approach meow. It's all about distance really meaning How Close is the Person Going to see the Sprite, "ZOOOOMED" in or just a Regular view~furthermore is How I approach these particular pieces. If that makes sense Meow.
