Title: [PAID] 1bit (Monochrome) Backgrounds + Monsters for math mobile game.
Post by: letsgamedev on November 15, 2019, 07:24:38 pm
INFO: Currently I am working with an Artist on this.

Hello, my name is Tom and I'm looking for an artist for making some monochrome (1bit) pixel graphics for my small mobile math game.

What I need:

3 background graphics:
- 90x32 pixels
- Multiple layers, for example, a ground layer and a cloud layer, which I can animate (scrolling)
- small animated environment stuff like wiggling flower, picking bird or whatever fits into the scene as sprite sheets (amount of additional animations is up to you; provide as spreadsheets)

4 animated monsters:
- the default size for the Monsters should be 26x26 pixels, but if you need it a bit bigger, you can go up to 60x32 pixels
- Idle animation: 2 to 4 frames
- Got hit animation: 1 Frame for left and right
- Attack animation: 4 to 6 frames
- Die animation: 4 to 8 frames

Themes for backgrounds and what kind of monsters.
It should be quite classical JRPG stuff but you can get creative as you wish. Please make some proposals about what you want to do. (Maybe also as rough sketches) I attached some simple mockup graphics I made for the game. Use them as some kind of reference.

Here some gameplay footage with my test graphics
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WV4h2Puojh8&feature=youtu.be (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WV4h2Puojh8&feature=youtu.be)

I want to spend $200 (or Euro) for this.
I would prefer PayPal for international payment or old school bank transfer if you are located in Germany :)

Tom

Howdy! I certainly can make what you're asking for!

I don't see any particular difficult elements when it comes to neither the background or the enemies.
While my "portfolio" might be a bit outdate, some stuff are still relevant: https://imgur.com/a/xAUHE
But i kinda thought that something newer would be in order to be shown, so i just kinda made four enemies within the restrictions you posted.  :)

Not sure if the attachement is working correctly so i'll just put a backup link here: https://imgur.com/a/vkTBAs8
We can discuss my rates privately, You can contact me on: martinmullvad@gmail.com

Hello, I recently started in 1-bit pixelart, but I did this as a test for a commission.
This is my portfolio https://www.behance.net/gallery/75745997/portfolio (https://www.behance.net/gallery/75745997/portfolio)  :) I am interested in the project.

Hello!

I'm pretty used to working small, using limited color (or just one color), and animating loops in 4 frames or less.
If you'd like to see my work you can go to either of these sites:

Hey, this seems like a very fun project and I'd love to be considered for it!
I don't have a lot of experience with 1-bit graphics, but it's a style I've been dying to work with! You can check my portfolio (of higher-bit stuff) at https://mathsanpixels.tumblr.com/, and I can be reached over math.avs@gmail.com if you'd like to discuss things further!

Regardless of your decision, I wish you the best of luck with your game!!
