Post by: Noouhh on October 07, 2019, 07:52:09 pm
Hi!

I recently have been working on some attack animations, and would really appreciate some feedback on this one:

Thank you!

I'd remove a couple of frames from the swing. It feels heavy and slow.

Yeah it feels better now.
His left foot stands out a bit to me. Having two positions instead of turning it every frame might look better... I think? But I'm just nitpicking now.

feet should remain planted on the same spot for a good swing

I agree with MysteryMeatz on the feet. Here's what I would do. I added a blinking animation and hair swaying downward to give it more jazz, also I tweaked the slashing and added Meatz input with the feet. Looking good my Man. Interesting piece I must say and I cannot wait to see the final product.

some good tweaks on the last post, but planted doesn't mean 100% static! For a swing like that his far leg would likely pivot slightly to allow for the movement. Play with the knees, that's where most of the movement will be!
