Ok, I realize I have a lot of projects going on at the moment, but I have serious pixel ADD, so bare with me. I have decided to work on a platformer for fun and practice. So yeah, here is the basic main character so far. He is just some bionic night, and as you go on in the game, you upgrade armor and weapons, so yeah. Oh, and he will be holding a weapon, that is why his hands are like that. What do we think? ???-

It's really nice, excellent readability, but it looks to me like he's wearing a two piece spandex... or more like a 1-piece swimsuit and leggings...., that line at his hip bothers me. Also, why is he moving up and down purely vertically so much? Breath deeply for a moment, does your body move only up and down? No, it sorta bends and straightens.
I feel weird giving crit because I haven't even shown myself to be a decent pixelartist here yet, but just saying what I see.

The knees and hips should bend along with the rest of him so his torso doesn't act like an accordian. Otherwise, great sprite! The pose is very readable and ought to work well with added weapons.

Thanks for the replies, guys, but I think I am going to scrap this design and go with a newer, more dynamic one. It just doesn't have the character I need, you know?
Just noticed that the sprite disappeared... strange... does that happen with imageshack frequently?
