Title: few pixelly deals
Post by: Mooseyfates on March 02, 2007, 12:57:02 am
I have just recently started to try to learn how to pixel. These are a few that I've started and may or may not finish. I think that my computer is darker than most so if the colours are really bright, tell me. Please tell me how improve them.

This is one of the first I tried to do
when I started reading up on pixelling.
I don't like it much anymore.

Pillow shading.Either that or very simple toon shading. The green backgrounds are way to plain to be grass.I like the hand though. It seems to be anatomically correct. Can't wait to see the finished versions! :y:

The green is just the default background colour in game maker sprite editor. It isn't supposed to be grass.

nice works, I'd suggest working a bit cleaner as currently alot of the images are very jitter-ish and rough looking.
Perhaps being more patient and focusing more on how you are placing the pixels in relation to all the other pixels may help the coherency a bit.
The green bug thing looks fun :)
