I've been trying to make something good enough to be made into a print.  I'd love to hang some art on my bare walls.

P.S. Yes, not much to C+C, but I'll take whatever you got.  And suggestions as to what I could add to make it more interesting.

Get it done on printable plastic and add a sequence of alternating neon tube lights behind it... make it a light/art fixture :) That should really liven your bare walls.

You don't need to just hang it up; you can jam up your room with some line art.
This is what I did...
Find one of your pictures you like and get it two colors, white and black, better to have it filled and just have the contour lines.  Then get a glass top projector like they use is schools at school or a rentacenter.  Print it out on a transparency then project it onto your walls.  Trace it with a pencil then outline it with tape.  Paint it any color you want a BAM!  Jazzy...

Pixel art generally doesn’t look good printed.  Dither looks horribly bad, yet if you want to print it use a color finder and get the center color and just use that.  As for the art I feel you went with the effect to take most of the page, try to make the projector the main image instead of the lighting effect.

I agree with mercury about the camera being foreshadowed by the lighting.

here's how i personally would present it (very rough sketch)

Cool ideas, guys, thanks!

I don't know about making the projector the focus of the piece, I was going more as just having it be a small little detail projecting some huge rainbow pattern.

I like the idea of yours, Mercury, very cool!
