Hahaha, oh, this is.. interesting. I like it. I think the darker shade of the haircolor could be a little more orange-y, get some hue shifting going. Then maybe add some more shaded areas to that mass of hair to form tufts and give it some body. I love the style of this.

I don't know, it doesn't seem super anime ish to me. Maybe make reflections on the eyes a little larger?

I know what hishnak is getting at, it would look more anime if you got rid of the dots, if an anime character is trying to show emotion, it's very clear.
For instance, the blush dots make me think you were going for embarassment, let's try it in anime style:

Just a quick job, but you see that the more exaggerated expression and the 'gay giant drip of sweat' gives it a more anime feel?

Hehe, i like it. I agree with Stwelin that some higher sat or generally more interesting shadow shades might be better. At the moment he looks very plain. The eyes kinda weird me out for some reason, maybe i just generally dislike eyes drawn like that.. But yes, nice design!
