I'm working on an Rpg, and I'm simply having too many issues with the character base! I finally managed to get a decent-looking frontal view, but now that I'm attempting the side-view, it's just the same thing all over, without the enthusiasm of starting a new piece.
So, people of pixelation! Help me get rid of my ugly mistakes, and help me make something great in their place!

(comments on the frontal view are also alright)

Thats actually not top down... Its not even at a steep enough angle to really be isometric. How does it look in the game?

Id suggest making it a steeper view, also keeping the same proportions with other directions, heres a quick edit if it helps, just used the selection tool and reshaped it quickly.

Thanks for the edit Terley :)
Ironically, the short-legged style which you're suggesting was the first thing I attempted. Some people liked it, others preferred a more realistic type of style, so I tried him with longer legs.
I think I'm going to stick with the short legged (http://imagehost.ensellitis.com/imagesv2/9881351056idlebase5.gif") version, (after some discussion with another pixel artist) because it's my favorite style, and the easiest to work with.
Here's what it looks like with a 'Delthian Tunic'!

(profile bases are to be redone at more of an angle, I need help with that :( )

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been relatively busy lately.

- Made the angle steeper, shortened legs,
- Redid the sideview to be at more of a side angle,
- Started back view, still in progress.
