Title: Tree
Post by: Morre on February 05, 2007, 02:33:09 pm
Hey everyone, it's been quite some time since I last posted anything here. I was registered back when the pixelation forums were at an entirely different host, and lost my account when the swoo.net one crashed. Oh well.  >)

Just thought I might post a little something, and any comments are very appreciated as I'm not much of a pixel artist.  :)

Thanks in advance for any critique!

EDIT: Grammar, syntax. Also changed my smiley to a prettier one.

If you look at clear skies, they almost always become darker higher up and lighter near the horizon. This could do without the extraneous trunk on the left. Also, since the sun is evidently casting light on the far side of the tree, and a little to the left, there would be a lack of light on most of the tree from the viewer's perspective getting lighter towards the left and top. Also, the palette is a bit unevenly ramped as there are a few colours which are very similar.
