Whoop! Here it is!My second attempt at sending a sprite here! This is one of the helpers in my game..he basically tells you certain information through out the game..All pixels are different hues of green by the way...Tell me what you think!Sorry it's small but that's it's size in the game...

You've done a good job of conveying the personality and mood of the character. This piece is lacking a certain depth to it however. I believe one or two extra shades for highlights will go a long way.

Thanks Man!I agree that the shadowing is a bit limited but I really didn't have much of a light source...so i'll probably retouch it up later...anyway,while I have time,I figured I would post the 3 other blocks that appear in the game..

This is a horrible example, but

I'm pretty sure this is what pkmays meant by adding some highlighting.  I didn't add any colors. Highlighting the others woud also be in your best interest.

This thing is cool though... reminds me of a thowmp.

Thanks for the C&C Rydin!Really helped! As you know I had no real light on my sprite, and you showed me that...so I made an edit of my original green block and:

There is the best I could do...please tell me if I did anything wrong with the lighting! Thanks again Rydin!

That looks much better Conkerking.  Perhaps some slightly heavier shading on the right bottom corner would bring out the depth a bit more, but otherwise, great work.

Alright,I redid the rest and also added shading to the bottom right corner..here they are:

Thanks for the help again Rydin!Any one who is willing to leave a comment or you find something I did wrong with it,please tell me.

I appologize for double posting, but I had to add a new post for this dude, seeing as he has little to do with blocks(though he is in the same game):
Here he is!He is a sumo guy who appears every so often to had you a bag of cash!Anyway, tell me what you think...again sorry for the double post..

The blocks look nice, but the red and yellow ones strike me as very similar--change the eyes and eyebrows on one of them maybe?

The sumo guy is very sketchy and lacks even basic anatomy. Try showing that his body parts are connected and the basic structure of his skeleton.

Thanks for the Critique MoD! I agree with you on the block sprites being similar but I do/don't agree with you on the sumo guy.I agree he lacks anatomy, but the game is not meant to be realistic, more cartoony! But thanks for the critique!I've put them to good use:
I decided to make him look more...ummm...evil/nice ish...Tell me what you think! And MoD,if you can explain to me why he needs different anatomy,i'll be glad to edit him.

It looks much nicer, good portrayal of the expression!

I think that even if you're doing something in a cartoonish style, you should be wary of the locations of joints and body parts. You can have a massive body and wide legs and feet, but you should still be able to tell where his elbows and knees are. I also said he was very sketchy; the lines are rather jagged and need fixing in several areas, notably the back, his sandals/feet, and his arm.

He also has some lightsource issues: you have shadows on the upper parts of his arm and the top of his head, but his shirt is showing a lightsource somewhere above him.

Those blocks are nice. With the sumo, his feet are too long, also why isn't he wearing the usual sumo outfit. Make his cheeks
rounder.

I tried to redo him so he wasn't as slouched(sp?).I found an image of a sumo restlers posture when standing on google...so..it should be correct..anyway..when I am finished editing the blocks,I will edit this post and...post them. Also, please tell me if I got anything wrong with the anatomy, because I really want to get this guy correct. Thanks for all the comments!

I am not 100% sure but you will most likely need to give him a more natural composure, cause atm he looks to be standing on one giant blob of fat or something  :D

Maybe this will help you a bit

Hmm...I see what your saying...thanks for the critique Jhelle!I tried a quick sketch of a pose I was trying to incorperate with the drawing...keep in mind that the game is a platformer and the sumo must be facing the character...that is why it has this pose:
Please tell me if this is correct or not...if there is anything I need to change please tell me..thank you.

Edit:Figured i'd post a new block i've been working on...I took some of your advice with the lighting,Souly..anyway,here it is:

Well I do like this lineart better then the other sprites you made but his head or neck is kinda weird, like his head is has grown out of a extension of his back which gives him a bit of a hunchback look.
And you might also want to make his right leg less apperant cause the direction he is standing with his feet gives you the assumption that he would is facing more the right but since its a platformer he should be facing straight ahead :)

With the latest block you probably want a different pallete - it looks a bit ugly to me at the moment.

Whatever sumo design you settle on, you need to shade it properly. Leave out details like veins, just shade it to suggest which
parts are fat etc.

Well...while i'm still working on the sumo,I figured I'd show you some concept art for the main character:
It's basically his face, but it's better than nothing...anyway,tell me what you think.I'm almost done with the sumo dude so i'll edit this post when i'm done.Thank's for the patience!

I edited your latest block, my favorite so far, to fit the style of the others better. Yours looks more like a sprite from the first Mario, not as bubbly, rounded, centered, or light as your others.
