Rule #1: don't save pixel art as .JPEG. It messes up the pixels.

I realised that too when i was halfway doing the sprite. When i changed it to gif all the colours changed the sprite drasticly (i think that's cause because of the JPEG Colour palette is different then the one of Gif, right?).

But More C/C please, i need help before i can procede, more tips and tricks I need to know more of the basic stuff etc.

Save as BMP or as GIF using a program that isn't MS Paint.

Or you could just save as a Png file, using MSpaint. Doesn't hurt it at all.(that is unless you keep saving it over, and over, then you'll notice a tiny, tiny amount of color loss...nothing noticeable to the naked eye, though.)
As far as the piece is concerned, I think the design of the character could use some work before you even begin spriting it.(Not to mention my way of doing things isn't exactly the best example to follow. I would possibly try researching Stoven's fighter tutorial, and you might be able to gain a better idea of pulling it off.)
It kinda' looks sloppy at the moment, as I'm not seeing much definition on body parts, or textures. I guess I'll hold my tongue until I see more progress of the fighter, then I'll give a better critique. Looks promising though, I must say.

Could you explain what you think needs work on the design?

Ok, I'll start over (and turn this sprite into a sillhouette, with some editing of course) using this tutorial.

BTW is there any Graphic Gale tutorial? I have no idea of the tools and stuff, can't even find a frickin pensil tool..
