literally a 2 minute edit.

just work on the form and how the light hits the object.  i would also suggest reading some tutorials on AA.

:lol:  thanks a bunch for the edit.  actually, i really like that design and the silver trim on the cup. 
as for the aa, well, i know how to, i guess i just jumped a bit overboard  :P

The shadow looks like the light source is from the left but the shading on the cup looks like its on the right.

Much better update.

I agree about the light that seems to be coming from a different angle on the cup, the shadow, and also the character! The character also looks a little bit pillow shaded, and I think the cup could do with some anti-aliasing. Also, maybe add some fun details like a sparkle on the cup and some kind of background. Or something.

i was trying to make it look like the light was reflecting off the trophy onto the kid.  ill aa the trophy after i think of a decent idea for a bg.
