Title: Change size of Pixelart
Post by: Dondarrion on August 19, 2018, 11:49:31 am
Hi!

Maybe this is a really stupid Question but im totally new to this..
I work with the RPG Maker..the older ones i used, used 32x32 tiles and the newer one 48x48. So now there are assets from both i like..is there a way to resize the stuff? I mean resize and still look amazing? Or have you to edit it completly by hand?
i tried resize 150% in PS..with hard edges but i think it don't looks that good..are there any tutorials/tipps on this topic?

best

Pedro Medeiros has a tutorial (https://www.patreon.com/posts/resizing-pixel-19266474?cid=12968358) about this (section adjusting scale at the bottom):

There is some research being done to get algorithms better (like this (http://cgv.cs.nthu.edu.tw/projects/Recreational_Graphics/PixelLineAnim) is one step in the right direction that is demonstrated on rotation and could/should also work for scale), but I'm afraid that's far from good quality, so you're down to manual editing for now (resize with tools and clean up).
