Title: [PAID] Looking for a Pixel Artist for our Monster Catching RPG
Post by: lyldev on July 04, 2018, 02:02:01 pm
Hello everyone,

Our startup company 'lyldev' is currently looking to expand its team for work on an upcoming Monster Collecting RPG.

About the company

lyldev is a European indie video game development company that has been founded at the end of 2016 with the goal of creating a Monster Collecting RPG accessable on all major platforms. At the moment our team consists of six members, including one game designer, two programmers, one Pixel Artist, and two Concept Artists.

About the game

The game is inspired by several Monster Collecting games (like the Pokémon series, for example) as well as JRPG titles which were released around the beginning of the 21st century. In contrast to those games though we want to create a more mature world and story which is more targeted at teenagers or adults. We also focus on making a reliable and balanced battle system suitable for a more competitive multiplayer. The game has been in development since the company's founding, therefore it has already advanced quite a lot in terms of code and design.

What we're looking for

We are hoping to add an additional Pixel Artist who's passionate about its work to our team.

Your responsibility as part of the team would be to..
Ideally you should be able to..
We are planning to finance the remaining development process via crowdfunding and need additional workforce to make this successful. That is why we need someone who shares the same passion as everyone in our team and believes in the project.

What you get in return

On top of getting the opportunity to work in an established team with kind and laid-back people in it, we surely are willing to pay you! However, please keep in mind that we are all attending university while working on the project, so our financial resources are quite limited and we are not able to employ you within the scope of a fulltime contract. Still we should be able to negotiate a payment which is appropriate for what we need and with which both sides are satisfied. And if you decide to stay with us after the campaign we would be glad to talk with you about an increased salary.

Apart from payment, all necessary software you need for the project and don't already have can be provided by us so long as it's within reasonable realm.

How to get in contact

If you're interested in working with our team, please contact us either through a comment on this post, a private message or our e-mail address (jobs@lyldev.com). Please attach examples of your work to your message. We primarily use Discord for organization purposes, so in case we're able to come to an agreement, you would be required to have a Discord account.

Hi there I thought I would simply reply on here as its probably easiest for you, and its clear then to others, because I don't tend to like applying to stuff behind other artists backs, I don't know why I just think its best haha

here is my website feel free to look through and see what you like the most, I have flexible styles! www.odovedesign.com

I work full time on pixel art projects so I am always in the element, I have been going freelance for 6 months now, and I always enjoy the more tight knit gamedev team member jobs, a lot more than the simple art work request jobs, feels more inclusive, and I think the game benefits a lot more from it!

As you know a lot of work can get done in just one day, and so I will be happy to charge a rate per day, which can be paid whenever I am needed for the project if that suits you?

I can't wait to hear from you guys! for better or for worse ;)

Thanks!
Oscar
