Um, he looks like a chubby chick.
Highlights on the torso give the impression of bosoms and/or a fat belly.
Thighs are tick and round, ankles are thin, feet are small. These are generally considered feminine traits.
Link is usually rendered with blonde hair. Where is this purple coming from?
Only thing remotely manly about him are the arm positions.

I like how you kept the pink hair as some kind of semi-hidden egg for those who haven't played LTTP.
As for crits, I'd make the body 1 pixel thinner or the legs thicker.
I wish the hair had more contrast against the face as it blends.

I share the opinion that Link's chest looks a bit like he's blossoming into a fine young lady. So, fixing that would be nice. I just realized how much of a girl Link is. He wears leggings. Leggings for god sake. What a strange boy.
Are you going to animate him? (I already know the answer :\) Seeing an animation of him seems necessary. Not many colors, he's a nice compact size...

link had purple hair in lttp (see pic above) at least in the actual game.
I always heard it was because of palette restrictions he had purple hair, which I never got because he had yellow and brown etc on the rest of his sprite :-\

Strange, and a GBA is not that restricted, I mean, if it was a Gameboy colour, I could've understand the purple hair.
I always thought the purple was part of his hat :crazy:
And his belt for example, has yellow on it. But overall, I don't really like the sprites from lttp.
