Title: Trying to learn how light hits objects after a long break
Post by: Capta1n_Henry on June 05, 2018, 06:55:10 pm
Welp, I took a long break from anything art-related and now I feel as though I ought to just start at square 0.

I drew a few shapes and did my best to figure out how the light would hit them using some references from around the house, though there was an image that I took a bit of inspiration from when putting this together.

Good (re)start dude and welcome back.

Try different angles and different lighting setups if you want.

Like this (https://www.awn.com/mag/issue3.7/3.7pages/3.7vilppu.html) and this (https://www.awn.com/mag/issue3.5/3.5pages/3.5villpu.html) from here (https://www.awn.com/columns/vilppu). Boxes and spheres. BTW, it's been years but I still recommend Vilppu's stuff as hard as Loomis, etc.

Then put em together, making one of those guys (https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41XZc3AGRwL._AC_UL160_SR124,160_.jpg). ;)
