Title: Guitarist

Started as a shotgunist, but I guess a guitar looked more brutal.

Thing's that bother me:
-the highlights on the forehead and shirt
-the aa on his back
-the legs (his right leg was going to be a stomach, but I scratched that idea early on)

Any and all help would be keen.

That guitar is bent to hell. One end is facing the viewer, the other end is facing upwards. The broken black outlines make this look really jagged, either go full black outline or colored outline with minimal aa, I'd say.

As for the leges, I think they just need to be spread apart.

Changes:
-dumbed down the color of the shirt
-changed the aa.... I may just remove it altogether  :-\
-moved the leg
-tried to 'unbend' the guitar... it still seems like it's facing wrong, what do you think?

My new concerns are the new aa; looks just as jaggy as before  :ouch: and the guitar still looks wrong somehow. Oh, and I'm really starting to hate his left leg now.... looks like its just a stick shoved into play-dough...

Check Blick's edit closer in regards to the legs. You need a pelvis in there. In regards to the highlight on the shirt...it should almost cover the whole front of it and his shoulder and the hump on his back., except for a slight shadow cast by his head.

With the guitar...draw a straight line down the neck of the guitar, and you'll see that the body of the guitar is bending away from it.

Thanks for the pointers EyeCraft; I think the highlighting helped a lot.

Guitar getting better?  I still think the legs/pelvis looks iffy...
