Well I did walk animation 2 years ago. I am still having trouble with animation. Any ciritiques on making a walking animation in 3 frames?

Why the 3 frame limitation? In any case, the first thing to try adding is up/down movement. The shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line. . . so that means the character should be tallest on the first frame, and shortest on the 3rd frame due to the legs being at an angle like that.

The linked page has a lot of info on how to draw a walk cycle. I'm not far from trying to do one myself. Animation seems so intimidating but I'm hoping it'll get easier with practice.

Thanks for the critiques. It really helped.

Hmm. quite an interesting tutorial! It is not pixel art but it relates in this instance very well. Thanks for showing it!

Heh, I thought I should work on this more. Here's the new update. It's like over months since I didn't work. (http://www.filespace.org/andyspixels/newspideywalk.gif)
