Hey there!
I am Tau and I am new to pixelation, and pixel art as well.
I found this forum accidentally today, and I think people here are really nice! So I registered and even decided to practise pixel art from this week!

Hopefully, I should produce at least one work each week. If not, I will have to pay my husband $15 each time, to buy stuffs he like… I guess most likely that means games! ;)

No. 001 Pixel Art: A cute link
This is my first pixel art, if not considering those simple attempts before. So I use a reference image, and did some improvements based on my understanding.

You don't need to enlarge your stuff for Pixelation, the forum has a zoom feature (click to zoom, ctrl+click (or alt or shift) to unzoom).
What are you learning by making a nearly exact copy of an existing sprite? Do you feel your changes are warranted? For example, the shadow you added to Link's shirt doesn't read unless you zoom in a lot, so is it really needed? The shadow along the cap makes the fabric look thicker - is that your intent?
