You don't know what's going on? Here it is: You sign up for this, get a random partner assigned to you, and you make a pixel art gift for them. In turn, somebody else (you don't know who) will be making a gift for you! Gifts will be revealed on Christmas.

What kind of gift do I make?
-Anything you want, just so long as it involves pixel art. Tailor it to your partner's listed interests, or towards them and their work if you are familiar. Any subject you think will be well received is fair game. You can make them a mockup, animation, sprites, textured low poly models; you name it! If you're worried about time, don't overly complicate things, relax and do what you do best.
But I'm quite likely to be embroiled in some sort of ~festive revelry~ around the end of December; can I still take part?
-You can send your gift in as early as you like. The 23rd is the deadline, but submissions will be accepted from the time you receive your partner's name via PM, up until the 23rd. It's not fun to try and rush this stuff leading up to Christmas, getting it done with time to spare is highly recommended ;)
I'm not going to manage finishing my present in time, will I still get a strike?
-WIPs will be OK temporarily... It's better to have your WIP under the tree than nothing, but please finish quickly afterwards to avoid consequences. If you know you won't be able to finish, for whatever reason, let me know ASAP so that something else can be sorted out for your partner.
I think making a present for so-and-so would be really fun, I wish I was their Santa!

current likes: pottery, woodcarving, druids, the scholar stereotype (polymath, e.g. Da Vinci), wizards, sorceresses, trees, mushrooms, grass, bushes, sand, rocks, gnarly roots, wildlife, mindfulness, peace, beer, C64 and Amiga games(hotseat multiplayer eco sims in particular(e.g. Kaiser, Hanse, Vermeer all on C64, Patrizier(Amiga)), actually what I like about it is hanging out with friends and those games lend themselves well to having something to do on the side), goblins, orks, elves, androids, aliens, spaceships, science, fiction, things and ideas that are meant to last and to improve life for their creators and/or for others or even other species, constructive, helpful, positive stuff
dislikes: intentionally left blank, there should be enough likes to pick from, if I had to give priorities, the last couple of items on that list feel most important, so maybe combine those concepts with anything you pick from the rest of the likes... that's just a suggestion though, basically, as always, pixel whatever you like as long as you have fun doing it

I tend to like dark stuff, post apo, dead meat, and gore.
But also old computers, terminals, and synthestizers. Buttons and blinky LEDs.
Sometimes ancient ruins, eerie landscapes and atmospheres.
I dislike cute stuff, with too much pink in it. Else, everything should be fine.
Doing stuff for the others is the only way to get out of my do-it-later routine.

I love Scifi, Steam punk and medieval fantasies as themes [Especially in D&D campaigns]. Terranigma, Crono Trigger, Zelda and Megaman are my favorite games of all time. I do like anime with compelling storylines and great characters such as FMA, Boku no Hero Academia and Log Horizon; as well as visual novels by 7th Expansion such as Umineko no Naku Koro Ni and Rose Guns Days.
I dislike Moe, extreme fanservice and sports [unless it's swimming].

- Gargamel (the cartoon/comic version), full stop. I freaking love this guy
- Nightmare Fuel - Well, not exactly eldritch abominations or zombies or the like, just dark stuff that would scare someone
-My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, my favorite villain being Queen Chrysalis
-Old cartoon classics, think stuff like Dexter's Lab, The Jetsons and Smurfs

-Splatoon
-Wizards
-Medieval fantasy
-I like a healthy mix of slightly muted and slightly vibrant colors with varying shades inbetween, take a look at the DB32 palette to get the idea of what I mean
-Also my favorite color is royal purple (around #922292 in hex to be exact), as for combos I also like a dominant black or obsidian color with scarlet red and/or medium gray to accompany it
The first two bullets are my biggest likes (not counting generic stuff like favorite color) and would love to have either one or both depicted (if not both, the first one is more preferred as I am a huge fan of Gargamel), but the rest is there should you find yourself wanting/needing to do something else. Feel free to combine too ;D
My dislikes:
-No graphic gore please - Some blood is fine though
-Nothing 18+
-Quicksand (or whatever those watery things you slowly sink into when you struggle are called). I hate these with a fiery passion
-Spiders
-Insects, with exceptions being bees, ladybugs, butterflies, bumblebees, grasshoppers and praying mantises
-If you're doing Gargamel, Queen Chrysalis or King Candy, please do not depict them at the mercy of someone else (or each other, for that matter) or getting the short end of the stick (the first one especially), I want to at least see them triumph over the others in one way or another
-Nothing over the top, i.e. try not to go too crazy :p Basically I'm not very fond of excessive exaggeration.
-Realism, if you are doing any fictional characters - this is not a strong dislike, but I wish to have them keep to their original artstyle. Semi-realism and/or extreme detail is fine, just as long as they don't boil down to "what X would look like in real life" (e.g. a pony from MLP:FiM very closely resembling an actual horse/pony)
-Frilliness - As much as I am a girl whose likes include MLP and cute animals, overly saccharine stuff doesn't feel good to me
-Machinery-oriented pieces. Well, I'm not against stuff like robots and sci-fi per se, it's just that I prefer natural, organic sceneries and creatures as the main theme :)

Likes: I like wiccan/celtic stuff and pretty much anything fantasy, though I'm not very interested in fantasy creatures. Wolves crows and all other witchy animals are ok 👍 hmm I also like scenes which capture ordinary life, like a girl sitting cozily in a chair, a man crossing the road, you get the point. I'm also a big fan of the anime fate/zero and steins;gate :)

What I like revolves Fantasy and Adventure. Currently I check a lot of "Another World" type of novels/manga/anime. It doesn't have to be exactly anime/manga art style, because I like the story around it.
But I dislike those that have too much death, gore and sex.

- Magic the Gathering (Card Game)
I do not like:
- Manga/Anime
- Cuteism
- Gore
- Tanks, Jet Fighter, weapons like MGs and other modern military stuff
- Modern japan/usa/british related stuff in general
- Modern popculture stuff in general

My likes: mechs, overwatch(game), duelyst(game) ,all colors, something organic(e.g. animals), epic backdrops
My dislikes: very limited color palettes, tight deadlines, something girly.
