love these backdrops. how much on average for a full scene? I'm not looking just yet but I'm definitely bookmarking this for when the game is ready

It'd really depend on how large/complex the backgrounds are, as I typically draw them with fewer colors/details than foreground elements and pricing them at the same level doesn't seem appropriate.
I ended up pricing the full version of this background (https://imgur.com/a/Bysn3) at $500, but as the foreground elements are fairly rough and the background elements heavily repeat themselves, I'm not sure how good a measurement of potential costs it'd be for similar pieces I'd do in the future.

It'd depend. A 64x64 sprite, absent anything else, would cost $32. A very simply-drawn sprite, or a collection of similarly-designed tiles that come out to a 64x64 square, will be less, however.
