Post by: abcnocturn on July 21, 2017, 11:27:32 am
Well, I had this as a reference :

I think it's totally okay, besides the head/face ...
I would like to know if someone has some tipps how to improve !

Are you set on keeping the proportions very true to the original? Because often pixel art have a bit chubby/unrealistic proportions to cheat in more details (for example for the face)

Looks good to me, boss. Simplistic, recognizable as usagi, color scheme recognizable as the same kinda oldschool pastel...
I'd poke at the hair some to smooth it out but the rest is fine I'd say

I'm not set to it, in fact my later target is to paint in a more 16Bit SNES (Secret of Mana,CrossCode) style.
But since I have huge problems with it I use normal proportions and bigger images to have some "easy" pictures, which cheer me up and give me some kind of accomplishment/success

Here is my copied Secret of Mana version (palette won't be finished):

Yeah, the hair is a littlebit chaotic.
Thank you :)
