Title: Wormster - In the spirit of Halloween
Post by: Dogmeat on November 01, 2006, 04:37:34 am
I was trying to draw a dog and got carried away when i saw this in my lines. Decided to see what i could do with black & white only.

Meet Wormster!

I've gotten that about 90% of the time, I think the only person to "see" wormster was high. At any rate, I'm trying to improve my lineart skills by doing something new tonight.

okay that's enough,  you can also use patterns! look a stipling!

http://www.artlex.com/ArtLex/wxyz/images/woodengrvng.murph.lg.jpg in engraving and comics dude....theres many examples you can inspire from, and I for one am all for this sorta experimentation, disrupt! disrupt!

you can use straight lines for wormy guy, and your little ball pattern for the dirt.

I did see it from the beggining, I think he's got a shrimp like tail, right? :p

Actually it's supposed to be a tentacle.

I kinda like how the last few things I've done I have everyone interpreting them differently, maybe I'm getting better as an artist in general :)

By the way, this stuff isn't easy to do , at least for me.

Ugh, compared to what you did mine kinda looks like I pussed out =/ it has so much 50/50 shading C_c some of the automatic dithering of photoshop really just blows me away (it has like 5 types)

Though, I reaaaaaaaaally dont see how lack of clarity makes you a better artist...not meant to be agressive...I just...dont  =/

I agree.  Being obscure is the easiest thing in the world.

I still don't see what it's supposed to be.
