I'm new to pixel art and been following Heartbeast pixel art course and made this going through the course and would love a critique

I think the shading and colors are nice, but I would say you should break up those groups of 2x2 pixels.  It looks like you were painting at multiple resolutions or something.

Instead of breaking up the 2x2s and 2x3s (which would create too much noise), try adding a single pixel to some of them, that'll give you a leafier shape.

Just wanted to put my two cents in this thread. I tried to do some palette tweaks and dithering without changing the style too much
