C&C appreciated.

I like it, good job!
I think there could be a health meter (up to u), or maybe more info, and design for the hud. Also, the gun could use more detail, I;m not sure what is going on at the top of it.

I've changed the gun along with some other things.
New version:

Awesome Portrait/avatar. The update is awesome. The Shot tentacle, IMO, needs more juice. With a gun beam that bright, it would cast some light on the surrounding areas, but I guess that would be unrealistic for an in-game shot without using some kind of lighting engine thing or something. I don't think the sprites match the quality of the portrait; The hilights are only 1px thick, and the outlines look a bit...I dunno...low quality? I mean, sure, they vary in color, but not thickness: They, too are only 1px thick.
The ground texture on the bridge part looks pillowshaded a bit.
The clouds don't seem to match the rest of the image.
The dithering on the sky could be made smoother.
I didn't even know that water was water when I first saw it. A bit of transparent indication would help clear that up.

Hmmm...
I can tell you're really good. Welcome to Pixelation and keep it up.

Thanks. :)

Um... there are no clearly visible outlines. I don't know what you mean by that.
In fact I don't use outlines in the whole mockup to match the style of the portrait so I'm a little bit confused now.

The ground texture on the bridge part looks pillowshaded a bit.

You think so?
I'm not very used to drawing ground textures.
I'll try to improve it.

The clouds don't seem to match the rest of the image.
The dithering on the sky could be made smoother.

I'm also not very used to drawing clouds & sky.
How to improve that?

I didn't even know that water was water when I first saw it. A bit of transparent indication would help clear that up.

It already has one darker colour to indicate its transparency.
Should I add more or am I on the wrong path?
