Title: Pixel Art precision / size problem
Post by: dunno on May 01, 2017, 08:21:19 pm
Hey, firstly I prefer to say that I'm a noob in both Pixel Art and English.

I'm doing a game, for the coding part mainly, but a game without sprites isn't really a game...
So I'm trying to draw some sprites for my game but I have a problem about their size.
So, my game's window has a resolution of 1280x720, and my sprites need to be pretty tiny, but I can't figure out how to do so. Let me show you. When I'm drawing it, or when I use it in my game it does that : http://imgur.com/a/trUTB (http://imgur.com/a/trUTB) while what the sprite really is (By zooming), is that : http://imgur.com/a/vzxv8 (http://imgur.com/a/vzxv8)
So I've tried many things but I can't figure out the answer, what am I supposed to do ? Do I can't use tiny precise sprite ? I think the answer is no, it's possible. But I can't find how. Sorry for the time you lost reading a beginner question, wich probably sounds dumb for you... Anyway, thanks for reading and answering (Even if it is to say how dumb I am because the answer is obvious, I've spent to much time on this)

Google locked resolution, I think is the term? I believe game maker and unity both have specific settings for this kind of thing but I can't be sure.

Well in the first image you are viewing it at 33 percent ratio so that is why it is distorted. Pixel perfect settings in GMS1.4 is in the global game settings.
