Title: Fix head and walking animation
Post by: xhulic on February 21, 2017, 06:09:05 am
Hey

Found this template on my computer, thinking about continuing on with it and making a small game.

Questions:
- The head on the North and South facing animations is larger (wider) than the other sides. How do I fix this? (I have tried moving everything 1 pixel in but then he looks too skinny)
- How would I go about shading this character?
- Should anything change to make future animations easier?

Also any tips would be great thanks :)

This gives a clear indication of what I mean. All other animations the head is in the GREEN bounds whereas the front and back animations are on the RED bounds. How do I fix this, as moving one pixel will make it no symmetrical.

Making the side sprite 1px wider works imo.

Back to other questions:
- How would I go about shading this?
- Is there a tool/tutorial to determine what I could color palette would be?
- Are the current animations sound? Is there anything I could do to the sprite to make it easier for future animations?
