Title: Low poly models with pixel art textures (and inverted hull outlines)
Post by: Talbone on January 14, 2017, 12:26:32 am
Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I've been working on this game, i've been deeply inspired by aaron bishop's SoulFu on this one, and i have been working on some art for it. Characters will be customisable but its early stages still.

Pretty solid style, do you have any levels to contrast these against?
I'm thinking some low-saturation stony greys and blues might serve well to contrast against the sorta amber-ish colors on these models!

Those models look really nice, especially the rat. I have to learn the same style for my Shadowrun SNES remake and the thing I struggle the most with is how joint deformations are handled with so few polygons to work with in the usual problem areas: shoulders and hips.

Looks really good! Really motivates me to go into 3D sometime in the future.
