Hi Pixelation community :) ,
This is my first post here and I would wish that you give me feedback for this piece. I did it yesterday for Pixel Dailies (Twitter), the theme was: Jester. To they didn't like it :( , Why? ??? Too sugestive? :-* Ugly? :crazy:

I'm not sure why it was rejected (wasn't even aware they did reject things, to be honest!)
But if you're looking for feedback, the lighting on the boob looks pretty abrupt and inconsistent with the rest of the piece and the shoulder looks a bit off to me.
Actually, taking another look at it, it's pretty hard to tell quite where the light source is coming from in general. Above and to the left? below her knee? somewhere towards the camera? It's kind of all over the place!

They don't retweet everything, it has happened to me a couple of times.

Yes, If they don't RT is because they don't like them. The thing is It took me a long time to do it, pixel by pixel very thinked but they just RT the artists's works of always, the artists that they like most and this is not fair with others good works.
By the way that pixel yours I liked very much

No, is a fact. That "oversight" is something very frecuently, even a great pixel artist stopped doing sprites for Pixel Dailies because it happened to him exactly the same, it's sad and frustrating really, and there is no feedback. So I hope here, the truly consolidated pixel community, can make constructive criticisms to my pixels.

They retweet things they see under that tag for that day, but Twitter doesn't show all the tweets for each tag when you search, so it's possible that they're just not seeing your work, especially now that Pixel Dailies is quite popular. Twitter also features popular tweets more prominently and doesn't dump them as readily, and popular artists get likes and retweets even without PixelDailies' help, which might explain why those artists are more consistently retweeted by PD.

Just on the topic of Pixel Dailies, I think its fully random what they retweet, Some of my tweets have been retweeted others havent been, also if you just look at the tweets they retweet, its not like they always have a set selection of artists. I don't believe they ever said themselves they only retweet select artists. You have to remember these guys are busy as well, they probably just try to retweet as most ppl as possible but don't want to spam everyone's feed.

I think I've done 2 pixel dalies, I didn't even know they retweeted it until now.
I went back to look and one had been retweeted.
You shouldn't care about retweets though, do it for the art and not the fame. ;D

Yeah it's already a way to have exposure as people browse the hashtag, I wouldn't see any malice from them, they retweet things "on the go", not sure they put a lot of thoughts in it. "Like this / don't like this / doesn't match the the theme / Not very good quality but clever". There is really different qualities in what they retweet. I would add that they retweet mostly by batch a certain hours. So doing piece very late on European time for example is a good way of not being retweeted.

Hard work does not equal praise.
Continue down the path, learn to enjoy creation, and share without expectation.
If people offer you praise accept it with some grace.
If people offer you nothing, do the same.

I did my first-ever pixel dailies a few weeks ago, and they RTd me, even when I kind of fudged the theme. They definitely don't just take their "favorite artists," lol.
Like others have said, they probably just RT things they like and more importantly, *see.* Don't read too much into it.
