actually, I think thats 1 bit, also, you wouldn't be able to see a character very well

Yes, it's 1 bit. There was a discussion about that awhile ago...with a ghost made by someone.
I don't see a character at all, but you were able to very well shade with just two colors. I never was good at that...

maybe if the character was pure black with a white outline :)

Really like the ground on that newest one, but the clouds are way too visible.. I'd tone em right down..

everything apart from the groud and objects you can stand on should be much lighter, so you know whats a prop and what can be stood on.

but doesnt 1-bit only allow for one color and a transparency color?
also, if you dont want the character to be pitch black, a double pixel wide outline would be good.

Oh hell. Haha, the wonders of dithering. I looked at this and went "What? That IS 2-bit! Silly people!"

Then zoomed in and felt my brain melt away. 1-bit works far beyond expectations at high resolutions! (1280*1024 on school monitor)
Keep it up!

1bit = 2 colours in total, nothing to do with transparency or anything, that would still work, that is what masking is for :P

Wow...I was right?
I really like the ground, looks really nice, very good shading for 2 colors...makes me want to try something like that. Almost.
I agree with Terley about the clouds, but I still don't know where the character is  ???

I didn't say the character, I was saying if it were a game special measures would have to be taken to see the character, like Dogmeats animation.
