Title: Help me give my Pixel dude legs

Hi guys,
I'm trying to make a simple pixel art person, but I can't seem to get his legs to look normal. Does anyone have ideas on how to make his legs look nice?

I'll try. :lol: I saw the way you did it, that was really good! I have a lot of trouble since I'm a beginner, so I'm trying to see how other people do it, and I can build my skills off of that. (http://i.imgur.com/KNgfI7T.png) I think the problem is I'm trying to stay in the confines of the torso part of the shirt. I really liked the way you did it, but I couldn't seem to get mine to look as good. Thank you for your help!  :)

You decided to give your sprite very limited space. This is where pixel art has it's great strenght. A single pixel can change the whole image.
This guy wears  a cool hoodie and skinny jeans. I don't think there is any problem with your solution. Did you try to give him or her feet before?
Look what I've done: The first one is your sprite, in the second and third version I deleted two pixels of the hoodie each, to make the person look a little smaller overall. And there are feet too, to make the sprite look complete.

But I have to admit, that it doesn't change this much in such small solution.  :crazy:

Your task: Try different colours for your trousers and see what happens.

Ahh yes the hoodie looks much better. I will experiment with different colors and styles  :)

Alright, so I've fixed the sprite and it looks much better to me. I've used all the tips you guys gave me, and it was really helpful! I've started animating (only made one movement so far), and I decided to use this thread instead of starting a new one.

First one is the base sprite, and the second is the first part of the animation. How many animation frames should I make?

My brother finished the animation, and I think he modified it.
