Hi, I'm working on animations for a fighting game I'm making.
This is the idle animation for Hoshizora, the first character!

I'm wondering what I can do to improve the quality of the animation, and just what your thoughts on it are in general.
I'm thinking it looks a little stiff in some areas, myself.
edit:
Try 3

I would look at references from other fighting games. Your character's pose reminds me a bit of Ryu or Ken from Street Fighter, so maybe take a look at how those characters look, animate, and how their proportions fix together. Maybe check out the shading used, as well, because yours isn't entirely consistent.

^ This page is my absolute favorite when it comes to fighting/idle animations, they're freaking gorgeous.
