Title: Does my game look good?

I'm developing this game as a hobby, using (mostly) NES palette because I don't feel skilled enough with coloring wizardry.

(Ignore those misplaced tiles, my autotile script is not perfect) Does it look good, is it readable? (especially the last one with turrets). The http://i.imgur.com/gFvrG5z.jpg (http://i.imgur.com/gFvrG5z.jpg) > player is the only outlined object for readability. I want the  game to look rather cold, I avoid using yellow, red and orange, does it work out?

i'd have to know some context first, the purple on the first screenshot is super harsh and glaring but that could be part of the area's design. yume nikki played with that concept in a couple areas, like the neon area.

I'm also liking those clouds!

1 and 2 are readable, but not very pleasant because of the garish colours. Like MysteryMeat said, though, that can be an effective part of your worldbuilding if done purposefully.
3 and 4 have some contrast issues, and in motion it might not always be immediately clear where you can go.
4 in particular feels like a dev test level, rather than an intentional design.

I also want to add, I like what you're doing with the camera movement and screenshake! I'd reduce the screenshake a little personally, though. Ideally, you should provide users with a slider in the options to control the amount 0-100% (you can just scale the camera motion by that amount, should be fairly easy to code).

Oh, also the game is going to get bizarre and unsettling in some places (I hope I can pull that off :/ ) so some weirdness is intentional. I'm not sure what to do with the 4th one, I guess I'll have to stare a bit at some metal mashine-y sci-fi levels.
