Title: [C&C] Satyr Sprite
Post by: elrot on June 20, 2016, 04:46:38 am
Here's a small sprite I've been working on, supposed to be of a one-eyed satyr-like monster. I really don't have too much practice with sprites, and I'm especially iffy about the pose. Looking for criticism and tips.

POWER SQUATS

You have a correct instinct on the pose, though. That'd be pretty uncomfortable for a digitigrade to do, I imagine, and I think his leg proportions might be a bit off. I can't tell for sure but it looks like the middle part of it's longer on the left leg than it is on the camera-right leg.

I do like the way you did the fur though, gives him kind of a clumpy unwashed appearance, with some tweaking could even be tree bark.

I found a somewhat-similarly posed statuette you might be able to use as reference, but it's spoilered since there's a willy there, so be warned! About the willy!
