I'd say round out those "corners" on the eye with a light blue so they're not as noticeable.

I don't have much to say but I think that to make a more rounded reflex on the iris would improve this picture a little.
This reflex you made is a little square and the eye is a ball, and balls reflect light in a lens format that is rounded.

And if you want to make it more realistic, you could darken the shadow in the iris. Reflecting objects have a high contrast.

i rounded the reflection and started the outline of the bricks

That's what I meant, but you could just have made a better AA on the reflex.

It's my take:

yours / mine

But still someting was disturbing me in the shadowing, and using references I got this:

I had to add one color to make the shadow on the iris, the contrast increases and so the reflex, then we get a more realistic eye.

Try giving the bricks more of a weathered look, to offset the relatively pristine look of the eye!

Some of them seem to have divots on  them, making them look more like pez. Great brickwork though!
Notable on the brick on the top right of the eye

Upon closer inspection, the shading on the bricks was also off, the light source for them counter to the light source on the eyeball. I fixed up the divots and tweaked those as best I was able, though they still need some texturing I think.

Thank you for the critique. Maintaining a consistsant light source has always been a weak spot for me. Tomarrow I will retexture the bricks to give them a more dry/sandy look and fix the light/shading.

Method I started using for that is to make a layer with a sphere/cone showing where the light's coming from, using the size of it as a reference for where it is forward or backward. So like this!

They're not the GREATEST examples, but hopefully they help illustrate the idea!

Looking good! The shading on the mid-right brick is getting that Pez-y effect again, though you've avoided it on the others thankfully!

No no, that one was fine! Though that smaller divot looks nice and would make for a great texturing option for some of the bricks, I actually meant the brick on the middle-right side of the picture, just below the small one. Five bricks down.
