I've avoided animating my sprites for years but I'm trying to get better at it lately ;)
I would like to hear some thoughts about this:

Leg needs to extend further before drawing back I think, as it is it looks like he's shuffling around because his toe hits the ground and then his foot moves forward.

It's definitely passing as a run, though!
