Does anyone have any criticisms on this animation?

Maybe you need to aa hand swipes at the first one animation, another things looks pretty much

An important element of walking is swinging the feet forward when they are lifted. If you don't do that you don't tend to go anywhere.
Twisting of the head relative to the torso is usually for the purpose of countering the torso's twist in order to stabilise it. If the head twists more than the torso then that rather defeats that purpose.

In addition to what surt said, since his grounded foot does not slide backwards, this animation is only good for marching in-place.  The grounded feet should slide backward at the same speed as the ground passes beneath him.  Otherwise he will look like he is ice-skating.  I like to animate a walk with a wider canvas, moving the character sideways from the beginning, and then create a treadmill animation when finished.
