Character. Working on mugshot. Tested out hue-shifts on the shirt and trousers.

Anti-Hero for project I'm working on. Maniquin type thing. Also working on mug.

Both for a project so I need some major C&C.

Don't double post.

The lines look awfully dirty, and in the first one his right arm (Our lef) looks awkwardly bent like a aluminum can and doesn't seem long enough. I'm not crazy about the pallete either and the AA'ing seems to detract from the piece as it's so small. I like the hair, but the eye needs to be redone as it looks completely strange.

The second, "manequin" thing, he is also rather dirty and might benifit from better lineart or good sel-out. He is dull without much highlights and his leg is bent like a noodle rather than bent at the joint. Might want to finish him off before we can give good critique for him. Needs his other arm. ;)

Way too many colors used.  In my experience, though, careful palette selection is a skill that comes with time and practice, so you don't need to urgently sweat it now :p

Something that I find to help in keeping color counts low is after the lineart stage, only using 3 colors, fill in the light, then shadows, then highlights (use regular black to maintain important lines until later stages). If you start out with fewer colors, you find you need to ask less colors.

Just an idea of how to work on it:

Did you, by any chance used Enichans character's stance as your guideline?

Froli, you quoted my post, not the authors, actually read the text and you would know that. It's alright Froli, I've done the same before.
