Title: Platformer Character
Post by: Uki on January 01, 2016, 07:47:46 am
Hey everybody!  This is my first post here, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback and (hopefully) some pointers as to what I can do to improve the image and make a sprite sheet for the game.

I did some quick revisions and added an outline to the image:

Here is another version of the character, this time in a fighting stance.

Also I drew a lot of inspiration from Michael Myers and his pixel art characters.  Although I tried to put a unique, SNES-ish spin on it.

Your edit is much easier to read and it's a nice character. Maybe you can add a light source somewhere to give it more depth and shape?

I added some shading for what is further from the viewer's eyes

The foots look kinda weird. He looks like he needs shoes or something

I tried the character again, this time removing the outline to hopefully make his feet stand out a little more.

the neck says left but the rest says right, that should be a pretty easy fix
also, a smol tip, use the gray RGB(127,127,127) for the sprite, it'll help you look better your colors, the dark green you are currently using might making your eyes biased :3
