Title: [Newbie] Made a Captain Viridian Sprite

I Made A Captain Viridian Sprite From VVVVVV i need some feedback on this please  ??? ? Im new here anyways.

I Have more sprites when he's walking and when he hits a enemy but i don't know if i should show it, you can tell me if i need to show it.

The shading looks kinda weird to me hmm maybe show your other work to clarify this.
(I don't think there is a reason to use 9 colors on such a small image with so less details)

The walking animation looks kinda weird also
