I wanted to work with a limited color palette for the character so I didn't get so out of hand, and I'm not ready for these "Super-detailed" pixel characters either so I went with something simple. Any way to improve? P.S. I'm using Paint.net also, I don't know how to post image files

Where's the picture?

like I said, I don't know how to post image files

On the posting page click on the button found in the toolbar directly above the message area. Once clicked a pop-up window will display asking you for the Image URL, along with the Alt Text. Paste in the direct URL for the image you want to share within your post into the box provided for the Image URL option.

Fixed. Next time just grab the actual image code and post it here. Will edit and post my thoughts after a closer look.

So, even though this is a simple style, I think there are ways to prove this. Mainly, I think this could use a bit more contrast. Some shadows under the poncho and hat. His left arm looks strange, weird spikes seem to be coming out of his arm. I think the shapes of your arms need more polish. When I saw your art, I immediately thought of the game Westerado: Double Barreled. You should check out some of the art in that game. Good luck!
